Answers: I own been to Ecuador twice, and would LOVE to run back again. I enjoy the food, but knew of other tourists that get tired of rice, which is a main staple of the diet over here. The prices are great, its not unusual to find a huge meal for smaller quantity than $5. I recommend traveling on the coast, but there are also great places to pop in on the interior as well, such as Otovalo and Banos.
I be in Guyaquil contained by 2006. I loved it. The Hodgepodge of colors in the houses on the mount were amazing. They own a park that is full of Iguanas. Be alert the like the trees and approaching to poop on people. Same park have snapping turtles.. Of course you are just a hop skip and a dive from the Galapagos (The shark in my pic is a shot from the Galapagos that I took) The food is ok. I didnt dream up it was to die for. The currency is US Dollars.. and the prices be good. Id jump back within a heartbeat... I have a trip to Quito surrounded by August.. Back to the Galapagos. Yeah, go its great.
