Answers: Definetly this is a tradition for Peru; however, within the southern cone countries is very popular too. (Argentina, chile, brazil, parguay and uruguay) It have slowly moved the tradition to the andean countries as well.
In Brazil they get through Panettone too!
The funniest thing is that within they just put up for sale panettone in xmas. Ive never see it in Bogota.
Panettone is an italian traditional Christmas dessert so any country where on earth italian immigrants come, they still eat Panettone. I hold seen them within Chile, Peru, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Ecuador, Mexico and Venezuela. There are now made locally but you can still buy the indisputable Italian ones like Tre Maria or Perugina albeit at an expensive price. Local ones are apt too, made with lots of glaced fruits and raisins. Ive lived contained by the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras and Argentina and all of them market pannetonne only for xmas...adjectives of them are imported except the one contained by argentina where its truly exceedingly popular. In the others country its not as popular...mostly because its pretty expensive. I love it, though!!
