Can anyone notify me how I could backpack through south america lacking money or places to gain short permanent status work?
I wanted to travel to south america with a friend surrounded by july, but have no more. I'm a struggling artist (filmmaker). We be trying to fly in to panama, and lug the bus to south america, and through the continent. How can I make a plenty money to get by for a month down near?
Answers: A month? Backpacking? Let's see at BEST you could make 20 miles a year. 30 X 20 is 500. 500 miles wont take you from Panama to Ecuador. Why not use a bus, purloin a little lolly and pick ONE country? Be careful.. a tourist alone next to a backpack can be super uber Dangerous.
You do realize you can't get to South America short flying or taking a boat to Colombia.The Darrien gap is still virtually opaque.Although it is possible to work there, it is wicked and if you are caught working on a tourist visa/permit you will be fined and may even be arrested and jailed.
A month is not very much time.South America is huge.I enjoy been several times and usually budget $35-$50USD a time.It would be hard to do it for much smaller quantity.If I stop somewhere for awhile I can usually get by on for a time less money ($20-$25 a day).I revulsion to be a buzz-killer but it is just not as confident or inexpensive as you might think it is.Buena suerte!

Do some volunteer work to shoot some footage. It won't be much, but ample to get around, which medium you will have to travel by bus.
