What are the prices on gas, electricity, internet, grocery?
We are planning to move to Panama from Canada, and would like to know the prices for essential things.
Thanks!
Answers: Hi, here are some facts (all prices USD):
1. Gas is reprice every two weeks, right very soon between 3.20 and 3.40 per gallon.
2. Electricity 771 KWH = 155.97 USD (one month bill)
3. Phone, premium plan all local minutes you want 32.95 USD, remuneration extra for calling celular 0.16 USD per minute, calling USA about 0.15 USD per minute.
4. Internet + Cable TV : give or take a few 650 kb speed and 50+ tv channels (no premium movie channel HBO, etc) = 76.00 USD.
5. Groceries: Here you can go up or down within the quality of what you want but I do rota 300.00 USD every two weeks for a family of 4 (2 adults + 18 years hoary + one 11 years old) and I do believe that is between mid and giant range where on earth you buy.
6. Retirees, men 60 and above, and women 55 and above, will get special discounts surrounded by several services (that you can google it, I have that info but is vastly lengthy).
7. Weather wise I would recommend Costa Rica, i hold been in that and that I like. Temperatures contained by Panama fluctuate between 24 (night) and 31 (day) Centigrades in Panama City most of the year.
Hope you can gain the info from Costa Rica. Something else ask tqqaa.com or send me an e-mail.
Good Luck and hope you brand name the right decision no thing what it is!!
Man... Panama is cheaper than USA or Canada or inclusive Mexico. I know that gas is a little bit more expensive than USA but the groceries are tremendously cheap and you can have free internet (dial up) or I construe you can pay 30$ for 1 mb. Electricity is giving of the same so. I hope this will answer your request for information. I think culture are going on what the world economy be decades ago..today the whole world is getting expense..my step son lives within Colombia S.A and most things there are give or take a few or more than where I live contained by Washington state...things like appiances and cars are sky giant...we were going to move final to Colombia to retire but I can live on less right where on earth Iam...if one is going to move out of the country they should go in attendance on a month long vacation and really check it out...it might retrieve some real hardship later..
Are you SURE you want to move to Panama? It is hotter than Hades near year around! Have you visited within? I am a retired American in Mexico..live up surrounded by the mountains where the weather never get really hot. I know some people don't mind hot weather, but Panama is REAALLY hot. My utility expenses here are give or take a few 1/10th what they were contained by Colorado...groceries close to same, except fruits and veggies, which are very cheap. Hope you hear from some folks contained by Panama. Panama is pretty cheap!
i mean if i could convinve my boyfriend to move at hand it would be awesome we would be able to afford things and hold our little business good ample to survive.
you can even buy like a liquid and cookies with .25 cents. you can buy even little butter next to .5cents and candy and stuff for less than a dollar. food is cheap comparing to the food here contained by usa. i dont renmber how much the gas is - i never use cars i always took the bus and taxicab or walk. i used to use the internet on the internet cafe's and reimburse .50 cents for like an hour or two.
Panama is CHEAPP!!
if you buy your own little manor in el interior or close by the city and not the city you could grow your own food. rice - beans - coffee - oranges - mangos - and else enjoy your own chickens and you wont really have to verbs about buying food because you would be growing it yourself!
i hope i assistance!
There, the life is so expensive. Remember the natural life in Central America is more expensive than Canada and United States, right in that the basic services close to gas, water and electricity are three or four time than Canada.
Good Luck!
