Has anyone traveled to Central America by coup¨¦?

My husband and his brother are taking a trip to Central America "Costa Rica"... Any advice to confer them if you have traveled by motor before? If so please email me. Thanks

Answers:    If he is going to drive adjectives Central America with coup¨¦, remember that some countries ask for a visa. Road System in Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua are right, but in Costa Rica bear care next to holes and curves. Also take contained by consideration the tax that countries ask may vary, depending the place, and the local laws for driving too. I go to Nicaragua by car, and surrounded by Costa Rica - Nicaragua Border Line I had the luck that be almost empty, but when buses arrived, queue lines are ETERNAL! so cart that in consideration.
Border crossing can be a nightmare. I own been held at gun point by border guards. They hold you nearby to get money out of you. Costa Rica have some of the worst road there are. Drop into a pothole and never be see again. I lived in Central America for years and do not recommend driving in that. To people surrounded by those countries, all Americans are rich and you are disinterested game. There are wonderful places to see and things to do, but you own to be very tight-fisted. i went To Honduras beside my wife three years ago. We arrived there within 12 days. Is really hard to budge by car, surrounded by some countries like Guatemala is deeply hard to drive and it is massively slow. You should go by Airplane.

Good Luck!
