?Is Peru a apposite destiny for vacation?
Answers: Of course Peru is a great destination!
You need at tiniest 7 days to see the city of Cuzco it's surrounding ruins, the nearby Inka cities (Pisac & Ollantaytambo) the nearest town to Macchu Picchu "Aguas calientes" (10 min) beside it's Hot Springs pool and the opportunity to go to one of the seven wonders for a longer time of year of time and without the everyday crowd that arrive by train at 10am (you con progress up at 6am).
That's the most famous destination we get, but the second one is also worth going: City of Arequipa and the COLCA CANYON, this is the second biggest city after the capital, Lima but located surrounded by a beautifull country side flanked by 3 extinct volcanoes, There is no Inka ruins here but a lot of colonial construction surrounded by white volcanic rock "Sillar". from here you can go to the Colca Canyon its a 5 hr drive (not dangerous) because it take like 2 hrs to progress around one of the volcanoes and you stay at the top of the canyon in the city of CHIVAY, there's a Hot springs swimming pool full of tourists every darkness, this valley stayed isolated for centuries and the village and people live and dress as they did 200 years ago. Also you achieve up at 5am and enter the canyon for an hour to the Cruz del Condor, a place where you can see live Condors fliying around at awfully short distance.
Then You have Puno-Lake Titicaca, Lima, Trujillo-Chiclayo to the north, or the amazon jungle to the east.
If you agree on to come and want to get the most of your money, arrive to Lima and tour for a few days, consequently go to Arequipa any by plane or good bus, at hand you'll get used to the hightness and from near to Cuzco then travel to Lake Titicaca by train and put a bet on to Lima and home by plane.

There are lots of things to do, and places to see. Lots of history... you could stay contained by Lima and see the sites, go to the amazon jungle, run to Macchu Pichu, see the Nazca Lines, go to hot springs, etc.
Just be smart just about where you be in motion. Dont wear jewelry and keep your wallet safe-- near are lots of pickpockets and crimes like that. Just stay surrounded by well-lit areas, etc.
OMG Yers, yes, yes, specially a visit to Machu Pichu, its exquisite South America is a superb continent, and a great travel destination.
But here are some pointers on how to go:
Wear regular clothes (no labels and such)
Do not pinch credit cards or money, traveller's checks are better.
Keep a waist bag, here are a lot of scalpers.

Peru is great, and not only for Machu Pichu, which is already commented here. Distances are great however, so you'll obligation a little bit of time...
Mancora surrounded by the north is a great little place to go surfing, though can be quit touristy.
Chiclayo have one of the most extensive open market I've seen surrounded by my life.
Best trip I've made be taking the bus from Chiclayo to Tarapoto, from there a pickup to Yurimaguas, and finaly a three sunshine boat trip through the jungle to Iquitos. A great experience, with fantastic view. But again you'll need some time.
If you resembling hiking, climbing, mountains. Huaraz is defenitly worth visiting.
