Costa Rica: Must I own a coup¨¦ to live near.?
I will be living in Heredia, a suburb of San Jose, Costa Rica and want to pop in some of the night clubs surrounded by downtown San Jose on the weekends. Is there secure buses back to Heredia at darkness or should I cab it, or spend the dark in a hotel? Must i hold a car to live surrounded by Heredia/San Jose?
Answers: You don't need a motor to get around. Most Costa Ricans don't own one. The bus system, both inside and between cities, is quite extensive and frequent, as capably as cheap. And the taxis are vastly cheap as well compared to US taxis- this be a few years ago but I recall getting a black cab across San Jose's downtown for a buck, and from downtown to a suburb for 2 or 3.
There are, if I recall, buses between Heredia and SJ at adjectives hours of the night, so technically that would work for partying. But the intercity bus areas surrounded by both towns are a bit dodgy after dark, if I bring to mind, so caution might be a bit advise. The bus itself would probably be safe. Bus passenger by and large are a much more respectable crowd within Costa Rica than in the US. My rule of thumb be that if there be other respectable people out and almost, it was probably safe and sound, if it was deserted, beware.
San Jose hotels are not that pricey by US standards, so you could do that.
okay, first of, heredia is not a suburb of san jose, its another province. then if by hours of darkness clubs you mean cool bar to hang out at, the best are within heredia anyway! if you mean nightclub as stripclubs, then its a undamaged different thing, ans yes most are surrounded by san jose downtown.
the best way to move around would be on a sports car, but be advised that driving surrounded by costa rica is much harder than in us surrounded by general-many holes and bumps on the streets, need of streets, people driving close to maniacs within general, lots of relations dui, most cars are stick, poor road signs or lack in attendance of, narrow one mode streets, etc..-heredia is still quite rural surrounded by some parts, and taking a cab, especially by yourself could be fairly dangerous. The bus system contained by Costa Rica is very reliable and especially well organized as surprising as that seem. The majority of the people rely on this system to take home it to and from work within San Jose and from the surrounding suburbs. I chew over that traveling from the night clubs at hours of darkness would be dangerous on public transportation. People catch jumped adjectives the time in San Jose. Taking a hackney carriage is a good substitute, or stay in the hotel, you choose.
Cars are nice to hold but not necessary.
All the best
Funny, as I don't believe anyone "must" own a car.
I see you are contained by L.A. I bet you think you couldn't live in attendance without a coup¨¦.
I lived there (L.A.-car city) in need one for years, so you can surely do so in Costa Rica.
By the path, if you are leaving L.A. to move to Costa Rica I pass you major kudos-wise conclusion!
hey bro... if u r a man, u should hv a car. don't judge bout expanses... car will put together u happy and erect next to the accompany of women within costa rica. they r mind-blowing...
enjoy urself~~~~??
You don't hold to have a coup¨¦ there. The public transportation works fine.
On the weekends, it is better if you bear a cab vertebrae to your place. Buses stop running at certain time during the dark and depending on where you live, it might not be out of harm`s way.
