Has anyone ever be to Iquitos, Peru?
How was the shopping? Were most of the items for Dutch auction cultural?
Answers: I'm sure you can find handicrafts smoothly, just be sure to bargin.
I be in Iquitos a few months ago. Bear surrounded by mind that Iquitos is largest city in the world that have no acces by land. Thus, most of what you seize in Iquitos will be local stuff (like animal skins, or indian head-pieces... that open-handed of stuff). don't expect to find a mall or an "outlet" as yo see within the US. I've been to Iquitos twice, and I can convey you that if you want to buy typical souvenirs, you should go to the jungle where on earth the native nation live. They make those souvenirs and give them to tourists that visit them on an excursion. You can find some other souvenirs at the airport, more expensive, but the difference is not so big.
Enjoy your trip to Iquitos! You should also embezzle some time to visit Machu Picchu, which is wonderful!
PLEASE, DO NOT buy animal skins!
ably i am from peru but i have never gone to iquitos . But within every city of peru you will find a place where to buy souvenirs and these kiNd of things. The majority are cultural things.
