Costa Rica?
My girlfriend and I are going to Costa Rica in February. Ideally, we want somewhere on the Caribbean side that's great for swimming, have beautiful beach, isn't overly full of tourist resorts and has justifiably priced accomodation.
Any ideas?
Answers: Think twice formerly you come here.Is not as "pretty" as they show it in add.I just moved here 4 months ago for a year(work) and the first entity you need to know is i.e. LEGAL(yes,legal) to rob somebody up to $400.Crazy but true.Happen to me twice in Liberia("Caribbean site").Second is not as cheap as most empire say and third as an American usually you are greeting for you money only.Check out Panama - be there second week,the place is way prettier and individuals are honest
Yes check on Jaco ..beautifull beach ,,, dazzling road and easy to carry to lots of prices for you to ck on ...have lots of fun on your trip ..you are going to own a ball ...oh by the track Jaco is on the Pacific side Caribbean side of Costa Rica is actually not terrifically good (kinda swampy). Usually you budge to the Caribbean area if you want to see alligators and turtles.
All the polite beaches are on the pacific side. The best shore, in my experience, is Manuel Antonio. White sandy beach surrounded by a natural wildlife reserve. Stay clear of Puntarenas (were adjectives the cruise ships from the US dock), but you can try Playa tamarindo or camarón in Guanacaste.
Jacó is an OK town, but the shore is not that great and the town is swarming with pot-heads.
Be aware that the Pacific side is awesome waters, some beach that are surfers heaven and others resembling the beach surrounded by UVITA,CR there is a sand railing called 'The Whales Tail" which looks exactly as it is name, this is where the Dolphins & Whales come surrounded by to breed~ awesome sight! Manuel Antonio shoreline is beautiful worth seeing as okay as continuing down further south towards Dominical/Dominicalito/Uvita/Ojochal/Tam... Bay...Check out some online sites, beautiful videao & pictures next to info...Don't be afraid to try the B&B places they are the BEST! Have a great time~ We are leaving Jan23 thru Feb 6th...Pura Vida! Caribbean zone is have a crime wave I intuitively wouldn't recommend to go in that yet... Look write me an e-mail and I will distribute you the name and blotch a perfect place within Guanacaste to visit, I do this contained by this way cuz that shoreline does not have masses visitors and I want to hang on to it like that, but gotta promise me you wont will garbage here... OK?
