A payment for my Nicaraguan HomeStay Family?

I want to get a offering for my homestay family. I haven't met them yet- but even though I am paying them, I be aware of if you are staying in someone's home for 3 weeks, you ought to grasp them something. I was thinking something that shows my hometown- I don`t know a poster of Philadelphia? I hear most people are Catholic, so I don`t know a religious painting? Im not sure, any concept?

Answers:    I think the concept you had of something from your hometown, or home state would be the best payment. Get something that your state is know for, like for example, Vermont for it's Maple Syrup, Teddy Bears and Ice Cream, or Wisconsin for its Cheese, possibly Hershey's Chocolate for your state or something else your city or state is known for.
My wife make "Chaplets" for Catholic Poeple. They are a beautiful point.
She doesn't have a web-site or I would relate you to look on it.
I would say I don`t know $40-60 a piece would be a fair price to rate.
You might contact a local "Father" and get some thinking on where to purchase them.
Not everyone is Catholic here surrounded by Nicaragua, but if your homestay family is i can assure you it will be a fundamentally well received contribution. Something from your hometown will also be appreciated. Some little Liberty Bells and a story about them will produce for an interesting first day.
