I,m really interested contained by Machu Picchu.?
My understanding is you cart a train from Cusco to a destination and transfer to a bus that take you the rest of the way up the mountain. The road seem very upsetting. How safe is it? I really want to explore this wonder but am scared out of your wits of the road to get nearby.
Answers: My daughter and I took the train from Cusco and yes a bus takes you up from the hotels to Machu Picchu. It is a meandering road with steep dropoffs resembling any mountain but it was capably maintained and as locked as to be expected.
Remember, this is a major attraction that can't afford accident. Remember to take some devolution to give to the little boy that race the bus by taking shortcuts. Very entertaining.
Another pointer. Take something for altitude sickness at Cusco. It tore me up the first night at hand.
You will be safe, upset maybe but not detrimental, those drivers do it all the time. You'll be past the worst. lots of tourists go
Hi
I agree.. the bus ride is extremely safe.
Another leeway is to get past its sell-by date at mike 104 and to a guided trek to Machu Piccu.. Its about 11K and you draw from to go see more ruins etc..
You go and get to the sungate at 4PM... Then you go into Aqua Caliente and stay overnight.
Then you come backbone at 6AM and get a tour of MP near little tourists there
we used http://www.sunriseperu.com/inca_trail1.h... for this
