Best place within latin america to break?
mexico, costa rica, aruba, cayman islands, bahamas, jamaica, puerto rico....

Answers: If you are looking for a beach, later I would recommend either Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) or Cancun (Mexico). If you are looking for a more "cultural" giving of trip you can always stop by Machu Picchu in Peru, or the Mayan Ruins within Guatemala or the Aztec ruins in Mexico.
Personally I would recommend going to Peru, Chile, Argentina, Brazil (in that writ from west to east) and enjoy the best of South America.
I love Mexico. It have many deeply different areas. Mexico City is a very exciting city; the Gulf and Pacific Coasts (Vera Cruz, Acapulco, etc,) are wonderful. Mayaland (Merida and the Maya Hill Country south of it) hugely interesting. Food's great all over and la gente es muy simpatico.
The nice item about Mexico is that if you don't resembling where you are, you can step someplace else within the country on the bus, which is not true of the Islands or the smaller countries.
Anywhere BUT Mexico.. In the baja region lots and lots of tourists are self robbed.. Cayman is very nice, Punta Cana is fab, Bahamas is nice also. I love CR.. but Id run to Mexico absolutely ultimate. i would say Nicaragua be very fun when i go, you can go to the Beach [Montelimar] and you can own your own little island for a day contained by Granada, there is exotic animals, and there's Beautiful Lakes and Volcanoes, it have great food , but it can be a little dirty surrounded by the city like Managua but excluding that it's a very stunning place to visit

The best place is chapada da Diamantina Brazil.
Amazing place next to caves ,rivers and etc. Costa Rica. Its cheap and sooo attractive. There is a LOT to do.
Go to virtualtourist.com and check it out. It will tell you where on earth to go, tourist traps, warning/dangers and MUST see places.
You can look up any country and specify which cities too. This website is better than ANY commercial guide.
