Can anyone support me next to info on Pacaya Samiria?
I have be around South America quite a bit, this year it will be the Pacaya Samiria National Park. I am still missing information on how to achieve there? Is lodging available? where on earth to eat? Is it true that the best is to help yourself to a River Cruise? Please provide me with adjectives possible data which I will appreciate. I am a US citizen traveling on my own.

Access from Lima:
By air: Daily flights to Iquitos from Lima (1:30 hours).
By river: the solely way to arrive at the reserve, along the Iquitos-Nauta - Río Samiria route (28 h by motor boat and/or 7 hours by speed boat) down the Amazon and Mara~nón rivers. Alternatively, along the Iquitos-Requena-Río Pacaya route (36 h by motorboat or 9 h by speed boat).
Activities: Trekking, camping, fauna close watch, flora observation, investigation, photos and picture making.

The National Reserve of Pacaya - Samiria was stablished on February 4, 1982, through Law (D.S.) N 016-82-AG. This National Reserve is located contained by the department of Loreto, Requena, Ucayali and Alto Amazonas.
One jumping rotten point is Iquitos Peru. They have an airport. The city have approx 400,000 people, Nice place, lots of hotels. You can find like mad of tours from there to jungle lodges and river trips. Just type "Iquitos" contained by any search engine. There will be lots of them.
