Answers: Why are you going to Peru? Tourism? Is such a diverse country that You call for to really know what you would like to see. Do you want to shift to the mountains for hiking, go to the jungle, savour the beaches, shift to museums or archaeological places?
From December to March is considered summer all around. April - November is relative cold. On the coast is mild weather but contained by the mountains and the area of Puno and Cuzco is bitter cold.
Consider your age and sense of humor. North, Central, Orient and mountains are impressively different and the food on each region is totally different but flavoursome.
People is very friendly and willing. Try to take small tours and plan respectively day vigilantly because is a lot to see.
Good luck! Enjoy I did
the time it depends if you are hoping to progress during the summer (december - march) is nice and warm but is elevated peak season as very well as jun-july because of independence time.
usually the airfare is low in october and april but it might be cold within those months, I will recommend you to go unpunctually september early october.
Have fun!
PS: if you stop by contained by lima there's a good restaurant within magdalena (about 30 mins from the airport) called Los Esteros de Tumbes.
I suggest you turn in the middle of February. Its the middle of the summer season and the weather is great! Is gonna be full of tourists though, but it'll be easier to go and get around. If your planning on traveling to Lima city, i suggest you go to Ancon which is an hour away from it. Its a small beach-town but it have some nice beaches and especially good marine food restaurants. Also Santa Rosa, I heard it is a nice place. I'm planning on going to Peru surrounded by February my self; I can't wait I'm so excited. And if you don't close to hot places then shift July, since its independence morning there, they own some really nice performances.
