Supposely from any lodge close by the volcano, you can see lava, you just have need of some luck to see the exact moment. The answer to your question is No, in attendance are no hotels in La Fortuna de San Carlos beside views of the lava flows because it is located on the East side of the Volcano.

I come up to know of a great, cheap option for prime lava viewing within a small town called El Castillo. It is located on the mountain west of the volcano, the side where on earth the active crater is constantly emmiting gas and lava rock. Cabinas El Castillo are something like $50 double ocp. Linda Vista del Norte is in one and the same area and it is stunning! you can go in that for dinner if accomodations there are out of your price stock.
Sky Trek/Sky Tram is located in this nouns too. They have the greatest sunshade tour in the nouns as you ride high up the mountain past zooming down the lines near the Arenal Volcano and Arenal Lake for viewing!
