Buying a dog contained by Lima, Peru?
I am a foreigner, moving to Lima. I want to get a dog for protection & companionship. I'd fairly adopt, so this is just me scoping out my option if I can't find one at a shelter.
My question is: Can I buy dogs/puppies from pet stores? Or must I find a breeder?
Answers: You can buy from pet stores and from breeders, it's up to you. there's in truth a pet store at "Jockey Plaza", the largest mall contained by Lima, right at the entrance to the Ripley. If you want to adopt, check out the classifieds for EL Comercio newspaper or ask around between your friends. There's other somebody who's dog got pregnant and they want to impart away the puppies.

Please don't buy them within a pet store, those puppies or grown dogs are not healthy. Get contained by touch with the Peruvian Kennel Club, they will draw from you in contact near several serious breeders who will sell you a dog next to its corresponding papers.
I am also a foreigner living in Peru, I brought my Yorkshires from the UK but bought two dam locally. Both are of excellent breed, their Pedigree is great and more so I would say far better than I ever expected. There is a woman who is the owner of Shaman&Megan Kennel, she breeds excellent dogs and she is also an International Judge for the Kennel Club in Europe. Sorry I don't enjoy her phone number but the Kennel Club will provide it if you call them.

EDIT: I be forgetting but this lady who I mentioned can also procure you a good puppy to adopt if i.e. what you want, she has plentiful that have be left astern by their owners, she cares for them and finds them fitting homes and all for free.
