Answers: I'm not sure from your question exactly what type of info you are looking for but I can report you that about one-third of Chile's population lives contained by Santiago, and 90 percent live within 320 kilometers (199 miles).
It's also drastically smoggy, especially in the winter.
They lately changed their public transportation system, now call Transantiago, and it is a disaster. Where before you could steal one bus to most destinations, you now hold to take two and sometimes three.

It's a incredibly modern city and has plenty to give in the instrument of arts and culture as well.
The weather is usually mild minus extremes in temperature. It's dry in the summer and rain in the winter.
Use the public transportation- the buses. They will appropriate you down the main avenues and you can go and get dropped off anywhere along the bearing.
visit san cristobal - it is considered the best site contained by santiago, but don't go on a cloudy light of day.

santiago is tremendously much like any u.s. city -it have KFC, Pizza Hut, and Blockbuster. The schools are basically private - the public schools are roughly made up of the poorer families in and outside of the city. They are sadly looked down upon. The private school are, for the most part, catholic.
There are different section to the city, some of which are more residential.

i've only be there once. i know they own a good transport system. near are also plenty of neighboring places to go to. we did the 7 lake cruise and it was great!
