How long (time) does it thieve to drive from Arenal to San Jose on a Sunday?
It's impossible to figure by distance. How long will it embezzle us to drive it? Could we leave contained by the morning and get to San Jose by 1pm?

I do it unbelievably often.
It take around 3hr 30mins from San Jose.
The road is in worthy shape and there is low traffic
You should subtract about four hours to carry there. If you're not held up, you might gain there a bit early, but I assume that's better than anyone late.

Just come from Arenal. It took me about 3 & 1/2 hours from Pavas (near San Jose) to Arenal (La Fortuna). The road is really fitting at this time of the year. Recommendation, drive early morning when the fog hasn't turn down. If you leave at 9 am.. you will be at San Jose, close to 1pm. But remember, sometimes that area may own some road blocks due to weather. To be save, better depart from a little bit untimely. Remember that at Costa Rica, no mattter if you are really near, you may whant to go at least 30 minutes bufore basically in valise. This comes from myself that I leave hear and love to travel.
