Answers: I'm from Costa Rica, but no lier about my country's pros and cons. Regarding accommodation, of course it depends on the are you are staying and what do you inevitability. This time of the year, is high season, so you will find more hotels to enjoy rates up, but they are from low budget to luxurious budget. Hotels can go starting at $30 dollars the hours of darkness (a basic room) to $200 a darkness in 5 stars hotels. I know you don't want links, but recommend you to call in http://www.visitcostarica.com/ict/pagina... where you can find adjectives kind of information of recommended hotels surrounded by different areas. About the bus ride from the airpot, if you are going to the city center (san jose) it will take you around 30 minutes. The bus stop is basically around the airport. If you are going to somewhere else than city center, and you whant to get on the bus, you will own to go adjectives the way to San Jose and afterwards go backbone in other bus. This I don't recommend if you are going to be carrying lugage. Better try Airport Taxis that are purely going out the airport. About safety, you hold to understand is relative to where on earth you are going to stay. We are a open country, where on earth every body (including visitors) are subject to the same treatment. What I try to influence is that if you come here and just be a new in the crowd, you will enjoy no special risk as a local person. But if you turn out all "tourist" next to your camara on hand adjectives the way and a big fund pack, you will call attention into you.. hope you take what I mean. But as I say-so, it also depends wher you are going to stay. If you stay at city center, you have to be more discreet on how you go out than if you be in motion to beaches or tourist section of the country, where you can surface free of being a tourist. Hope this lend a hand. Please post any other question if you know be you will be going or visiting.

Q/ Is it a dangerous country for american company ?
Absolutelly No. I think the biggest concentration of "americans" within Central America is actually surrounded by Costa Rica
and Big "american" companies are installed/invested in Costa Rica (Wester Union, HP, Intel, Microsoft, IBM, Gambling sites, Hospira, abundant other).
You can pay near "american" dollars almost anywhere in Costa Rica, and english is fundamentally well spoken.
Of course, here are some dangerouse place (for any one, no matter nationality) and you call for to use a half-a-bit of common sense to avoid be nearby.
come to costa rica and experience the life here. near are different prices all around. you can be within a hostel from $8 + up. i was at montezuma this weekend and it be great, the waterfalls, the town, the shore, the people... 4 days within i spent around $135(food, stay, drinks and bus fares). At the arenal or la fortuna, thats an amazing place that must see. the volcano great and you can find a place (hostel) there also more or less $10. there is like mad of info at la fortuna. and from the airport to... where or what are your plans here. experience, sunny, foggy, rainy... costa rica have it all, in good health no snow but just come and savour the ride. we would treat you good and the crime here... lately try to stay away from san jose as much as possible, that's where is a bit gross, but if you go in that, don't go alone itinerant
