Are venezuelans more caribbean consequently south americans?
i know venezuela is in south america but the population there speak beside an caribbean accent. they tend to be better at baseball later soccer unlike other south american countries.
Answers: since most of the populated areas are on the carribean, and some of the islands off the instantaneous coast (isla margarita for example) are sorta in the carribean and to hand aruba bonair and curacao, yes, they are likely more carribean.
colombia probably have some carribean influence too.
the rest of south america has little carribean influence except for conceivably they guyanas a bit.
brazil has almost none, but in that are similarities since many population of african origen are in both places, the culture be brought over to both places and melded with the spanish and portuguese and indigenous cultures that be there.
In certainty, their geographic location makes them belong to both Caraibbean region and Andes region.
That's why they own similarities with other South American countries and also next to Caraibbean countries ( Cuba,etc...)
But anyway, they are Latinos, of course.
Edit : I have a sneaking suspicion that the most interesting country is probably Colombia, because it has alike particularities as Venezuela AND also a coast on the Pacific Ocean as well.
