What Is Costa Rica Like, For Travelling?
My and my parents and eighteen year old brother are planning a holiday for adjectives of July, and were not sure where on earth to go. I be thinking Costa Rica, as i speak A LOT of spanish and i've heard well-mannered things about in attendance. But what is Costa Rica like? Is it comfortable to get around within? Are there well brought-up things to do and see? We've been to Central America in the past, we went to southern Mexico 2 years ago, i loved it, it enhanced my spanish tons, but i'm wondering what Costa Rica is like for travelling around contained by.

Sights?
Transportation??

Answers: Costa Rica's main attractions are rainforest, backdrop, and beaches. It also isn't discouraging for nightlife as the people within love to party and jazz. It does lack the exotic cultural aspects of southern Mexico- within is very little Indian influence adjectives, and it is more Americanized than nearby countries, although still awfully Latin in culture. And Tico food is vastly healthy stuff but pretty unexciting compared to Mexico. And in that is very little remaining colonial architecture- stuccoed concrete and corrugated tin roofs are the dominate structural form.
It's not reasonably a developed country, but by Latin American standards it is quite capably run and orderly, with accurate public services, relatively low crime, drinkable water surrounded by most towns, etc. If you've been to southern Mexico, Costa Rica will be approaching a walk surrounded by the park for you.
The transportation system (buses and taxis) are a bit no-frills by US standards but are very extensive and terrifically cheap- you can go almost anywhere surrounded by the country and usually for no more than a few bucks. They basically operate similar to Mexican 2nd class although the buses are more like Mexican first class. The roads are fairly narrow, can be rough within remoter areas, and the drivers are a bit reckless.
If you stir to hotels and restaurants geared towards locals, Costa Rica is more expensive than nearby countries but still cheap. Places geared to foreigners are recurrently not so cheap. I was at hand back surrounded by 2002 but I recall verbs if simple hotels for $5-10/night for a single, $1-2 for simple restaurant meals, $1 per hour of bus travel.
If it weren't for the character, Costa Rica would be a pleasant but dull place to visit. As it is, while tons other countries have virgin rainforest, this is the best place to see it effortlessly, cheaply, and safely- you can usually take a bus or taxicab to the park entrance, and there are well-marked, well-constructed trail systems- its regularly no harder than visiting a US state park.
Costa Rica is divine, the people friendly. Very verbs and safe country. July is their bucketing season, so best check that. Not that it will rain everyday, but still.
We rented a 4 gearstick drive and saw the whole country. This is the best process to do it I think. The roads are not that wonderful surrounded by some places and there are mountains, so plainly rent a 4 wheel drive.
It is not needed to make reservations within advance. The accomodations are spectacular. We stayed within one place that was close to a large tree house within the jungle. We saw monkeys, birds and all sorts of wildlife.

we are going to visit friends who love in that & operate white water rafting tours.
nearby are several volcanoes, wildlife preserves, zip lines thru the rainforest, etc..
pacific side beach gorgeous & waves rival those found surrounded by hawaii for surfing.
also they have a gold ingots museum from pre columbian days in San Jose

Your Spanish would come in really handy contained by Costa Rica. It is different than Mexico. Has rain forests, beach on the Pacific and the Atlantic, bland food, heat, humidity, museums, public buses, international airport at San Jose, friendly and non-friendly citizens, increasing crime toward gringos, people come within several colors, flowers and birds are phenomenal...Good exchange rate. If you go, basically make sure you stick to the Pacific Ocean side, where on earth all the nice resorts are. Our cruise ship docked at a port on the Atlantic side and it be a slummy, seedy, upsetting area.
I go to some countries in Central America a year ago, and Costa Rica's by far the better one, not solitary because its people are friendly and nature, but also because it is the most developed country in the region, so that make the urban's landscape prettier and the poor ones are not going to run after you asking to buy their things...believe me!!, this is an prominent fact!!...lots of individuals speak english, and there are prices for adjectives budgets...
And its volcanoes, beaches and moral fibre in standard are awesome!...oh!!, I forgot to tell you, it be ranked by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine as one of the five top desninations surrounded by Latin America.
