What is a righteous dessert from chile, thats briskly and assured? I necessitate it for my class and I cant find anything! HELP!
Answers: This is about as unforced and uncomplicated as it gets.Not legitimate fast though as the milk wants to cook for about two hours but it is not something you enjoy to stand and watch and it is an authentic Chilean dessert.
CHILEAN ALFAJORES
1/4 c. plus 3 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. plus 3 tbsp. sugar
1 egg, battered
3/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. flour
1 can condensed milk
Cream together butter and sugar; add egg and flour and mix economically. Drop by scant teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Pat with a floured finger into terrifically thin little circles (quarter to partly dollar size). Bake at 325 degrees for 10-12 minutes, until only starting to brown around edges.
Sandwich two cookies together with cooked condensed milk. To cook condensed milk, place entire, unopened can within a large saucepan, cover beside water. Bring to boil and simmer just about 2 hours. This turns it into caramel.
The best dessert I had surrounded by Chile is called Suspiro Lime~na but it is in truth a peruvian dessert! It's like a dulce de leche custard next to meringue on top.
