Any visa warning from North Americans living contained by Costa Rica?

Hey Tico-gringos, if I come to Costa Rica but overstay my 90 day visa because I'm getting married, do you know if they make a contribution me a longer visa while I'm awaiting the yearlong wait for my Costa Rican national papers? I'm at work and don't enjoy time to call the embassy! Or, do you know how I can acquire in contact beside that group of Americans that crosses into Panama every 90 days to renew their visas? I'm going to CR to stay with my honey, but I haven't figure out how to get around my 90 afternoon problems yet!! Thanks for any info - from folks up to date on this topic!!

Answers:    I recently become a resident here, and once I began the residency process I didn't hold to leave the country any more. My residency status wasn't base on marrying somebody here but I conjure the same rule would apply.

You're right that it take time to get things done here. You'll probably have need of to find a lawyer to toy with the residency bit, though I suppose you could try to do it yourself if you have infinite tolerance and time. My residency cost me around a thousand dollars for lawyer fees and other things.

If you do have need of to stay 72 hours in Panama, David is a fully clad place if warm humid weather doesn't bother you. If you're similar to me, you prefer a cooler climate. I did my last trip to Volcan, where on earth it is much cooler, though not particularly exciting. I don't know of any groups that travel, most people in recent times go on their own. Good luck.
If your adjectives husband is a citizen there, you should not own any trouble staying there once you are married. The 90 year visa is only for company.
