What continent is costa rica on?
Answers: Costa Rica is located in Central America (which is a cultural region; as is Latin America) but technically adjectives of Central America is the southernmost tip of North America.
Therefore, Costa Rica is located on the continent of North America (if you live in the U.S.) or the continent of America (if you live contained by Latin America).
This depends on where you live. Here contained by Nicaragua we are taught that within are only 6 continents: America, Australia, Asia, Europe, Antarctica and Africa. In the U.S. they're qualified 7 continents: North America, South America, Australia, Asia, Europe, Antarctica and Africa. However, no countries recognize Central America as a continent on its own. The definition of a continent differs beside your place of residence.
Wow. some of the posters above really need a map.
The arrive mass known as North America contains adjectives of Costa Rica (and part of Panama).
Yes, it is contained by Central America, but North America includes EVERYTHING on the CONTINENTAL SHELF.
The Continental Shelf is how various continents are arranged... North America actually includes Canada, The USA, Mexico, All Central American Countries, almost adjectives Carribean Islands, including the lesser antillies.
So the simple answer: "Costa Rica is factor of North America".
Your question is within what continent is Costa Rica on, so Costa Rica is in America, to be precise the continent, which is divided in 3 parts: North America (Canada,USA and Mexico), Central America (including Costa Rica), and South America.
P.S. The problem is that us, latin american culture, study geography differently from the north american people. As I explained above, we consider America one continent divided contained by 3 regions. And in the USA you study things contained by a different way, considering North America a continent and South America another, so we won't agree near your explanation. But for those who live in Costa Rica, and -I think- for adjectives Central Americans, Costa Rica is in Central America, and portion of the continent: America.
Costa Rica is in Central America. Costa Rica is surrounded by America.
Go back to conservatory or buy a map buy a map.
I'M FROM CENTROAMERICA, WE CONSIDER AMERICA AS ONE CONTINENT, DIVIDED BY 3 REGIONS NORTH, CENTRAL, AND SOUTH IS VERY SIMPLE. BUT YES COSTA RICA IS IN CENTOAMERICA. IN THE US EVERYTHING IS COMPLICATED, METRIC SYSTEM FOR EXAMPLE . IF SOUTH AMERICA IS A CONTINENT MAYBE EASTERN EUROPE IS ONE TOO. REMEMBER THE OLYMPIC FLAG IT HAS A MEANING THOSE FIVE RINGS THAT YOU SEE IN THERE, IT MEANS FIVE CONTINENTS . Adyari is correct and the other answerers are not. Central America is not its own continent, but is considered part of North America geographically. Costa Rica, while self in Central America, is technically bit of North America. The North American continent ends at either the Panama/Colombia border or the Panama Canal, depending on the convention you adopt. So while the three main countries of North America are USA, Canada and Mexico, adjectives of the Central American countries are also part of like peas in a pod continent.
Considered Central America...but after reading a couple of the other posts above, they sound correct. So I'm thinking that it is certainly North America. Soleluna is right! Costa Rica is in AMERICA! . Gosh!!
FYI Costa Rica is located surrounded by Central America and not in North America. North America consists of Canada, the U.S.A., and Mexico. Costa Rica is contained by Central America. Panama is more southern and then Venezuela which is piece of South America. Costa Rica is gorgeous and has awesome jungle. Known for its toucans too.
Its in Central America surrounded by the Caribbean!
