You could also plan day tours to other places besides Lima (i.e. Macchu Picchu, Cuzco and Puno)
Get yourself some travel books and look through them. Also do some internet inquiring. Look through travel brouchures from a travel agent.
You should make 1 tentative thing every year :
On Mondays: Visit museums: the archeologycal museum, golden museum, larco herrera, national museum.
On tuesdays: Go to larco mar at the district of Miraflores to hang out within coffee bars, movie rooms, team game rooms and paragliding
On wendsdays: Shopping centers go to Jockey plaza at San Borja
On thrusdays: Go to the hose down park next to the national soccer corral, take a city tour next to mirabus, watch a movie within a nice area of Miraflores and read the newpaper of "el comercio" to see where on earth are the nice theaters and spectacles.
On fridays: Go to some disco in the nouns of San Isidro or Miraflores and If you like live rock concerts jump to the disco voce at Lince close to Arequipa avenue block 19
On saturdays:Try a new dish of the diverse and scrumptious peruvian food.(go to the rosa nautica)
On sundays: Choose a nice place to write maybe your diary or read something something like Peru at

First you have to call in Machupicchu (Cuzco - Peru. I live in Lima but I`m going to Cuzco on July, Welcome to Peru! There is plenty to do contained by Lima, depends on what do you like to do.

step check out the volcano just put together sure you don't jump into it by bus, shift north along the coast and south to pisco. check out the "islas ballestras" (awesome!!) . also south is the nazca lines. i think near are some pyramids to the north of lima.
by plane, you can go cheaply to cuzco (machu pichu) arequipa, and puno (lake titicaca).cant remember if the ariport is contained by puno or juliaco for that lake.
also fly to iquitos for the jungle.
cuzco is a LONG weekend (4 days IMHO)
arequipa can be short unless you filch a tour to the coloca canyon (deepest in the world).
check out some african music contained by towns south of lima.
of course the peruvian jar flute (que~na and zampo~na) are great. hope you can find some bands playing.
at hand were some black slaves here and nearby is still one or two plantations around that have the full history within tact. there is a town or two south of lima (i can't remember the name) that have these.

Dude, fly to Cuzco! It's merely like an hour's flight. Cusco, Arequipa, Piura, Mancora, Iquitos, Trujillo, Puno
SEE EVERY SITE If you're solitary staying in Lima you could whip advantage of your time and savour Peru's gastronomy, everything tastes so obedient there, almost adjectives restaurants are pretty good, especially Chinese restaurants or "chifas", the best are located implicit Chinatown. The suburb of Miraflores is great to keep you entertain, at day or at hours of darkness. Park Kennedy is pretty popular, there are tons of stores around the park that own nice stuff. Larcomar is also located in Miraflores and it have a lot of restaurants, a movie theater, bowling, coffee shops, bar and nightclubs. Parque del Amor is close to Larcomar, it have a great view of the marine and you can even go paragliding for going on for 15 minutes, you'll get a nice landscape of the city. If you get tired of the city scene you can stir to the countryside to places like Chosica, it is other sunny there and some restaurants in that have pools and outdoor games. Another route is to visit Palomino Islands, you'll gain to see sea lions and ocean birds without going too far. If you close to animals you can also visit the Huachipa zoo or the Parque de las Leyendas zoo. You should attend a soccer game if the peruvian team is playing, they are usually fun and risk-free. I would also reccomend the Circuito Magico de Agua. I'm sure you'll find other things to do when you get within, ask the locals and they'll give you other planning.
