Boat from Ecuador to Costa Rica?
Hey all, Does anyone know of any possible routes from Ecuador to Costa Rica by boat? Any thinking or suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

and similar to some of the other posters I wonder why you are avoiding Colombia and Air travel. It doesn't make sense to me but I'm sure you own good reason. Most of the 'private boats' that that go subsidise and forth from Cartagena to Panama cost more one way than a round trip ticket on an airplane does and can filch up to four days or more depending on the weather.
I know of no scheduled/regular ferry service between Central and South America.If Yellowstone could email me a knit to the ferry that he or she is speaking of from Cartagena to Panama I would be grateful.TIA!
There are no regularly planned boat services between Ecuador or and Costa Rica and it is not a normal freight route. The with the sole purpose surface route is by road to Cartegena Columbia, ferry to Panama and road to Costa Rica.
