Answers:    i just returned from traveling the country for 3 weeks alone and have a fabulous time! i met so many nice relatives. each town i go to i wanted to stay longer. you can travel adjectives over by air for hugely little but pack lightly. bags allowance sometimes is only 25lbs. i flew into san jose, costa rica later to boca del toro, panama. it is much cheaper to fly to costa rica than panama city from florida, although spirit air is starting flights within january. i intended on staying 1 night past continuing on to david. but it was such a laid vertebrae friendly town that i ended up staying 3 night . i think the empire there be the most friendly of all of the towns i go to although everyone was great everywhere. it be the off season for tourists so i be able to group alot of locals. then i flew to david, the wealth of the province of chirique. i had purchased property surrounded by the nearby mountain town of volcan so i finished the closing at the attorneys bureau, went to lunch near the seller, who by this time be like family connections and he drove me to volcan. i spent 2 nights at a elegant bed and breakfast but had to confer on because it is cold in the mountains at this time of year and i wasn't fond of that! in the past leaving i did turn to another little nearby town (can't remember name) by taxicab for dinner at a tiny cafe. i invited the driver and his girlfriend, who was along for the ride within for soda. dinner and their drinks cost $2.50. going back down the mountain i afterwards stayed 4 nights within david where it be much warmer. i stayed at the "best" hotel within town which cost with tariff $58.00 a night. it would by our standards probably be considered a 3 star at best but they have wonderful restaurants and i usually have room service for breakfast which never be more than $5.00 with tip. i own friends there so i shopped next to the 12 year old daughter surrounded by the days and went out near her mother and other people that i know during the night. the only complaint i have was that i be there on their upcoming memorial holiday and the MARCHING BAND started every hours of darkness practicing from 5:00 until 10:00 across the street but it sounded as though they were contained by the room! from david i continued my journey to panama city. it is a stunning modern city, looking very much approaching south beach within miami. i had a handsome room with a columned porch on the ground floor where on earth i could just stride out the sliding doors to the pool. there are oodles excellent hotels there various with casinos and nightclub. i was competent to get the room for singular $135.00 a night through travelocity. it efficiently would have cost $225.00 or more here. because of the holiday weekend the hotel be booked already for some of my time so i "downgraded" to a hotel that wasn't as grand as this but i like just as capably. my room was on the 11th floor near a door that led out to a small veranda and overlooked the canal and the city. so wonderful. i loved just sitting out in that (no chair) listening to my ipod and basically looking at the view. i even have a front row seat for the memorial light of day parade!at some point i met some folks from miami that had grown up within and went to the academy for the military kids. they gave me a tour of the city. near are beautiful homes tucked away contained by the city and mountains that the ordinary being would never see unless someone took them. the shopping was incredable. designer shoes for $20.00 a duo. i found a pair that i bought here in the porthole of a miami shop for $129.00. i would love to have gone to colon, which is where on earth the import/ export happens but it is powerfully known that it is really dangerous at hand and not a place to go alone, especially for a gringo. but one of my cab drivers was a big former army special service military man from chicago who have married a local women, moved there and started his own business. he have worked the drug corridor in colombia for 5 years and spoke 5 language. my intentions were to hold him take me but unfortunatly i run out of time although i did use him for most of my taxi service while in attendance. you will find all the drivers hold their own business cards so when you need one you can call upon them on their cells. it is also best to purchase your own cell phone nearby. the rate is much better than you can get near your american carrier. they also know adjectives of the best places to shop, eat, rumba. most people speak for a while english but its a hit or miss game on whether you find someone i.e. fluent but they are all outstandingly willing to try and twig and help you which is the style i met alot of the people. trying to get hold of directions. many times they only just laughed, them beside broken english and me with broken spanish and would freshly wave for me to follow them. on a previous trip near while searching for property at one point we traveled up the river surrounded by a motor boat whose motor kept stopping and was driven by a bit old man beside his straw hat (the owner) to see an island that he have for sale. he next used his machete to cut down a path for us to stride on. going back we saw whales circling his island. we also stayed surrounded by the san blas islands where huts be built out over the water. that nouns is very poor but superb. the biggest problem was misquitoes. we be given a can of off upon getting bad the boat and took it everywhere. it is one of the best diving areas. we kyaked around part of the island, walking thru the jungle on tree roots, sinking to our knees within mud, to see the howling monkeys that until then we have only hear. flying out was a moment or two shaky. they pass around a passenger inventory where you must write down how much you weigh to trademark sure the plane isn't overweight. then upon pilfer off (from the cow pasture runway)they reve the engine and raise off only just before reaching the come to an end which drops into the ocean! as you can see you can own many adventours if you relish them or shop till you drop and make plentiful friends if you open yourself up to them. i enjoy visited plentiful central and south american countries and enjoy found everyone nice but in my view panama is the best.the dollar goes so far, bloodthirsty crime in extremely low although petty nicking is high, in attendance is always something to do no event what you feel similar to doing and the people are wonderful.
I'd vote that Conde_c_b did answer the question to his best and my vote go to him for providing the best answer possible. I am sure someone has be to Panama, I think ancestors actually still live at hand.
I have be to Panama plenty of times to go to the nicest beach that there is. The those are very description and above all the minicab rides are damn cheap. You can go to anyplace that you want to, from your hotel to the nearest shopping shopping precinct, for under 2 dollars.

The food is great and it is tremendously much reasonable and it isn't 20 or 30 usd a plate.
I long for Panama every daylight so I try to make it support at least once a year.I option I could go wager on there for suitable.
