What city should I drop by within South America?
I am travelling to Santiago Chile and will have approximately 4 extra days and competent to fly to another city in South America. What city would be the most interesting to call round for this short amount of time?
Answers: I've been adjectives over the continent and while I'm partial to Peru, it's far away and Lima is not a great place. Getting anywhere else takes time, which you don't enjoy. So, if I were contained by Santiago and had 4 days, I'd call on Buenos Aires for sure. It's a short flight or ride. Santiago is nice, but Buenos Aires is by far the most cosmopolitan, European-like city on the continent. The nightlife, music, food and culture are without equal. The those are fascinating, seemingly oblivious to the certainty that they share the continent with other countries. They own their own way of chitchat, of doing things. I spent 3 months there at the University of Belgrano and University of Buenos Aires and I really come to admire the place. Just keep under surveillance where you step on the sidewalk because empire love to walk their dogs but aren't too impassioned on the picking-up part.
Bogota Colombia es una bella ciudad. y no olvides Cartagena de Indias You Have to find to Rio de Janerio check out www.lonely planet.com
Macchu Pichu in Cusco, Peru I would be in motion to Buenos Aires or Rio de Janeiro. Buenos Aires is really close to Uruguay and you can literally reach the colonial city of Colonia or the wealth city of Montevideo within a few hours via a large speed ferry or contained by 30 minutes if flying from Aeroparque airport. Buenos Aires is amazigly beautiful and have plenty of nightlife and culture.
Rio has tons beautiful beach and hills. The residents are vastly kind and have a lot of culture.
I agree next to the above. Macchu Picchu in Peru is really breathtaking! There is so much history there as very well as a beautiful outlook. If you go tehre you will not regret it. Its one of the worlds wonders! There are lots beautiful cities surrounded by South America, but one that is attractive and underrated is Quito, within Ecuador. It has the biggest colonial weak town in the continent (North and South America); the scene is gorgeous; it is not expensive; there's a lot of art, culture, events, museums, and nightlife; the weather is resembling spring-time year-round.
I know it's kind of far from Santiago, but if you own time you should go in attendance... you won't regret it.

Go to Cali, Colombia is the best city you will have fun, and the relations are just great. Get a fly straight to Florianópolis/SC-Brazil...it's a mid size city within a beautiful island next to 42 different pristine beaches...lots of nice hotels, restaurants, shopping malls...and it's exceedingly secure, nice family, and excellent weather.
Enjoy!
