Answers:    If Argentina is illustrious for the Tango, Colombia is know for the CUMBIA. Here I enclose a description.

Cumbia, Colombia's most prominent musical genre is actually a residence for a number of musical rhythms including porro and puya, near its essence in African percussion. Its notably flirtatious dance is thought to be derived from the pageant of La Virgen de Canderia, held every February in Cartegena. The leap is traditionally a couple's dance. The men dress surrounded by all white near a red handkerchief around their neck, while the women wear long flowing skirts. The women also hold a candle, which follows the men in a romantic pursuit, and normally fan the flames by fan the long skirt.

As recently as the first partially of the 20th century, the cumbia was considered a vulgar, lower class (i.e. black coastal) musical form by the Colombian senate, who also shunned it for its foreign (especially Cuban) elements. It is ironic that in the decades since, it have gone on to become Colombia's national sound. This coastal fishing music have gone on to incorporate waves of influences along the opening, from mambo-cumbias of the 50s to hip-hop cumbias of today. It has also gone on to become one of the most popular genre in Latin America.

One of the most radical and modern derivations of the Cumbia is the Tecno Cumbia. The tecno Cumbia is a fusion of the Colombian Cumbia near the mexican TEX-MEX (Selena was the most popular singer of Tex-Mex).

The Tecno Cumbia uses electric guitars and Keyboard and is totally popular today. Peru is one of the countries where the Tecno Cumbia have reached top popularity. Here I close in the most famous song "El Arbolito" from the group NECTAR (they died surrounded by a strange bus accident within Argentina, some say they be delibretly thrown off the road because they didn't want to salary the MOB, money for performing in argentina)
