Famous food: tamales, gallo pinto, rice and beans, pico de gallo, empanadas.
Celebrities: frankling chang (astronaut), claudia pol (swimmer) and oscar arias (current president and winner of a nobel peace prize)
Music: forkloric, rummage through for "el punto guanacasteco", "ticas lindas".
Religion: catholic
Traditional clothing: men wore jeans and white shirt, women wore a skirt with strips of colours
