Guatemalan foods?

This summer I'm spending a month in a small highland town surrounded by Guatemala to do field work. Most of what we're going to chomp through is going to be made by the ladies in the booths contained by and around the plaza. I was wondering, what foods are adjectives in rural Guatemala and what should I be on the lookout for (whether it's upright or bad)?

They have some Enchiladas Guatemaltecas. they are made next to a totada, ground beef, cream, tomato salsa, beats(if you want some) i really like the enchiladas, They also hold Empanadas de loroco con requeson thosse are good . Also Cicken contained by cream and they have other apt things you are going to enjoy. I'm not from here but i like the food. I cant linger to go to guatemala contained by August. Don't drink the water...I repeat don't drink the dampen! This also means you own to watch out for pink vegetables that may be washed next to tap marine, such as lettuce or tomatoes. (Cooked vegetables and boiled water should be fine.) I get sick for about 3 or 4 days, I believe because of tomatoes. I Also you own to be really careful of things close to beef and especially chicken because the vendors that put up for sale them in the market don't really have a bearing of keeping them refrigerated.
Beans The most adjectives are:

Chuchitos (literally means little dogs)a variety of tamale, consists of ground corn tamale with a tomato base filling and a exceedingly small piece of meat.

Tostadas, fried tortillas topped either beside black beans, guacamole or a tomato sauce.

Some hot beverages like atol de elote (a corn beverage) and arroz con leche (rice and milk beverage).

The best course is just trial and error. Food is cheap so you can try different things.
The foods adjectives in Guatemala are: - The Chuchitos (Mass cooked next to message and meat) - Kak-ik (Soup of turkey with a moment or two Chile) - The cornflour drinks (Drunk I warm up of different flavors) - The cold cuts (Eaten beside diversity of meats) - It curls and Beans (Kidney bean and Rice with Coco milk) - and several others.
