Costa Rica Overstay (Urgent)?
We did overstay our visa due to some issues with a friend. Can we budge to panama and come back to costa rica again somehow?
i know someone did step to niquaria and did do the same lacking issue.
but what about the exit visa? do we stipulation one or not. one site tells yes. one site tell no.
im reading 10 differnt stories on internet. we just want to be clear what we can expect?
im a dutch citizen by the means of access.

Answers: Checking beside the embassy is a good opinion. If you have lone over-stayed a few days, you can pay a fine and officially leave the country. My daughter remunerated in downtown San Jose, at an immigration organization. I don't know if you can do it at the border. If you stay out of the country for at least 72 hours and can show you hold an air ticket out of Costa Rica, they should furnish you a new entrance visa near no problems.
Yes you can go to any Nicaragua or Panama. The last time I deal with an overdue passport, the Costa Rican Immigration imposed a fine of $32.50 USD. Then stamped me out >> I go in afterwards out of Panama, >> then spinal column into Costa Rica in indistinguishable day.
Or if you find someone you trust, it costs $100USD and someone get it all done for you. It seem most the answers you're getting are from Americans..It is different for a Dutch citizen. I've over stayed 3 months before next to no fine or problems. I left the country for three days and returned next to no problem. The answer of 50% of Ticos speak English is not true, not to mention most do not know the laws of entry into their country. Try your embassy or the Costa Rican consult. Best of Luck.Pura Vida!
Why are you spending so much time on the internet on this ask when you should be contacting the Immigration authorities in Costa Rica and bring the correct answer that is single a telephone beckon away?
Don't forget that over 50% of the Ticos there speak English so you should not be afraid of calling and discussion to them!
Yeah, no worries! So long as you stay out of CR for 3 full days you're good to step and come back contained by as much as you'd like! I know those that have be doing this for YEARS! So you're cool. You may have to earnings a small fine, but nothing that'll break the dune... less than $50 per human being. Just contact the Dutch Embassy in Costa Rica. The international tourist trade is Costa Rica's livelihood. They're highly cooperative
