Can you travel by train from San Francisco to South America?
I want to know if I can travel by train from San Francisco to South America, specifically Argentina.
Answers: Not directly. You can travel by train, but you will have to drive or cart a bus to the next train nouns. It would take a large amount of time for you to accomplish this, as the train is not the best mode of transportation to South America.
No. In between Panama and Colombia there's a huge stretch of jungle that blocks traffic. You'd have to hold a boat from Panama to Cartagena. and then verbs the journey south. I am pretty sure that near is no trains that travel even as far as Guatemala. Some of the other central american countries respectively have some railroad networks but they are not connected.
In any satchel, they are not widely used for transprotation even in Mexico, busses are faster and more widely used. The railroad networks contained by central america are largely from the banana growing regions to the ports and are not for passenger.
As for bus or car transport the road have a gap between Panama and Columbia roughly speaking 200 miles south of the canal contained by a dense swamp/jungle.
