Depends on the broad... Depends on several things...your budget and the type of climate you like are the two big considerations. I am retired and live surrounded by Mexico...weather is perfect where on earth I am and the cost of living is far less than within the United States...I love the culture and the people.
Well if you really want to relish a beautiful country, fantastic women and the best beer contained by the World and if you can afford $600.00 a month - you can live like a King surrounded by Costa Rica!
Try Quepos on the Pacific side of Costa Rica - Single decent apartments for $250.00 a month and up!

possibly you should try Bay Island = Islas de la Bahia in Honduras its really nice and the atmosphere is greatly pleasant. Plus there are alot of anglo and most race speak english and spanish. very nice place to retire! depends what you want and stipulation. hot, cold, sunny, rainny, mountain, beach, alone, society...
Costa Rica A lot depends on what amount of income you will be receiving.I'm assuming your thinking of Central America.I also presume you are a woman.If $$$ is not an issue to you Costa Rica is nice - but your somewhat late.All of the Countries are magnificent,as in standard their respective people.Every country is merely exactly that, a "separate"country with it's own history and it's own different culture.Personally I resembling Nicaragua for many reason:COST - CRIME LEVEL - EDUCATION LEVEL - REAL "FREEDOM" - and the - TIMING - in so far as getting a bigger smash for the $$$. Honduras is a very delicate country too but Nicaragua has more Pacific coast file.I am a 52 year old man and I've be to both countries,Honduras is very dear to me within many ways but the simple truth is, women are ...Almost powerless in that and as a man - that might be part of my attraction to Honduras.The truth hurts and I be aware of somewhat uncomfortable writing this.You turn to some places in Utah - or travel contained by or near the Amish country side,...you may hoot - but - there is "some" reverence and respect. Before I get myself surrounded by a "bad place"..I'm already in that....A "Woman"..has more rights and opportunity's contained by Nica than Honduras....Adios ! ....I'm outta' here.
