What is it similar to contained by Rancagua, Chile?
I'm traveling to Chile this summer for an exchange-student-type experience and I'm going to be living with a people in Rancagua, Chile. I know that it's in the order of an hour away from Santiago and it's at the base of the Andes, but what is it resembling?
Is it a large city? I hear the population is over 200,000 but how big is it? What are the people similar to? Are there lots of businesses? Industrial regions? Mostly residential? How does it compare to other cities similar to it in the United States?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

It is a amazingly modern city as any city of your country.

rancagua is basically a commuter town. geographically is exactly resembling santiago but less crowded. it's purely an auxiliary place for the capital.
nil wrong with rancagua but nil exciting about it.
