Can I find some suggestions on a one week break for 2 to Costa Rica?
I would like to stay in close proximity or on the beach and try surfing, but I would also similar to to try the canapy tour and maybe check out a volcano. Where is a dutiful place to stay to get around to adjectives these places easily?
I'm not really looking for a big city, and I've be reading not great things about San Jose.
Also how is transportation? is it graceful to get around or should I feel about renting a motor?
and I don't need a luxury hotel. I'd similar to to spend around $100 a night.

Day 1 Arrives to Costa Rica.
A representative will greet you at the airport and provide transportation to the Hotel ________, located downtown San Jose.

Day 2 Poás Volcano, Arenal Volcano, Baldi Hot Springs
Early morning pick up at your hotel and set off your journey to the Poas Volcano National Park. The alive crater with temperature between 104° F and 158° F is located in the center of the park; the poisonous sulfur fumes do not allow any vivacity near by but sort Poás - because of the gas process - the world's second biggest geyser. We then leave behind by car Costa Rica's most impress waterfall - Catarata La Paz - that comes down on the east slope of Poás Volcano over 3,900 ft. surrounded by different cascades. You will stop at an amazing hummingbird gallery since continuing your trip to La Fortuna and the Arenal Volcano.
In the evening at the Baldi Hotsprings, you will enjoy a hip bath in the sulfur marine of a little river forming crude pools within a charming tropical setting, where - beside some luck - you will be able to view the fascinating volcano eruptions of red sparkling lava. After dinner, return to your hotel.

Day 3 Monteverde Cloud Forest.
After breakfast you will explore Arenal Volcano National Park and wander with your private guide through lower forest and over the lava fields at the foot of awesome Arenal.
After the slog and stop for a lunch (nor included) drive around Arenal Lake to Ca~nas and on the Interamericana south, until you turn left on an adventurous gravel road that will thieve you on a 35 km long ride to Sta. Elena in the Monteverde Cloud Forest Region.

Day 4 Monteverde Cloud Forest
After rash breakfast, explore with your private guide the Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve. Right at the entrance, you will already assemble many different kind of hummingbirds that come very close to their feed stations.
After lunch, you will go for a "put your foot in the clouds". The "Walkways" of Selvatura, a complex of suspended bridges, platforms and trails, built inside the cloud forest, allow a vision from a different perspective which starts beside a walk on the ground through the forest and take you up to explore the tops of the trees, a world which is very close but even so unknown to most of us - the canopy of the cloud forest. The bridge system is located along a 1.7-mile trail designed to tramp by people of adjectives ages and physical conditions so most of the way is height with occasional small slopes. It have 8 suspension bridges, which add, up a distance of 1200 foot of total bridge length, plus the trail goes 90% through primary cloud forest.

Day 5 Manuel Antonio National Park nouns.
After breakfast, drive on the Interamericana South and following the coastline continue towards the town of Jacó, stopping on the means of access at the bridge over Rio Tarcoles where we own the opportunity to observe huge crocodiles. On the way you will call round the Carara National Park, one of the main nesting areas of the Scarlet Macaw. Short ramble on the park trails. Drive further South to Manuel Antonio; arrival at your hotel in the afternoon.

Hotel prices depend on season, but USD50 a night wiull carry you a good hotel!
San Jose is a really unattractive city!
You can use the tourist shuttle buses to acquire around from destination to destination.

montezuma... you'll love it. lots to do there and things to see.

The resort at Punta Leona near Jaco is a great place if you own only a week. They enjoy a canopy tour right in the vicinity there. You can catch various packages from adjectives inclusive to breakfast only. There is a great seafood restaurant call Hicaco in Jaco. For nightlife, here is a place called the Beatles Bar within Jaco as well. If I be only going to one place, I would look into alternative transportation and forego the vehicle.
If you want to travel to the Arenal Volcano, you can see the volcano from the hot springs at Baldi or Tabicon. they both have hotels but are for a moment pricey. For a more modest but comfortable spot, you can stay at the Hotel Arenal Rabfer in La Fortuna.

$100.00 a darkness? you will spend less within most places...Arenal is good for a volcano and hot springs...for beach I would suggest Quepos/Manuel Antonio...from either you can sunshine trip for canopy tours and other things.for surfing most be in motion to Jaco or Tamarindo. um I'm Costa Ric-an.going there for the summer and yes you should rent a motor. San Jose stay away it is dangerous if you must go past by do it by car. Guanacaste is exquisite they have the best beach. the volcan poas is my absolute favorite. it have two lakes one is alive and oone isn't beforehand you get to the volcano if you run to another part of the local you see a torrent.
