Ill be doing a study in a foreign country within Tamarindo Beach, Costa Rica. How big is the town really?
When I looked online there wasn't much info except its a big surfing spot. Is San Jose 5 hours away by car? How much would it be to fly nearby from Tamarindo Beach? What is there to do here when I am not in class besides move about to the beach?
Answers: Since you are going to the Guanacaste region, I would fly surrounded by to LIR (Liberia) instead of SJO (San Jose) . From the airport there you can bear a taxi ride to Tamarindo and pick up yourself a long and needless drive or costly flight from San Jose.
As to what else to do beside the sand and surfing, there are plenty of innate attractions within a day's crossing:
* Marino Las Baulas National Park
* Ostional National Wildlife Refuge
* Lomas Barbudal Biological Reserve and Dr Rafael Lucas Rodriguez
* Palo Verde
* Rincon de la Vieja National Park
* Guanacaste National Park
* Santa Rosa National Park
* Tenorio Volcano and Miravalles Protected Zone
There are also plenty of other beaches proximate in Guanacaste.
