Advice for first time traveler contained by Costa Rica.?
This is my first time traveling to Costa Rica. Since my travel time is rather predetermined - 5 - 6 days so I'm looking for some advice as to where on earth to go and which module of Costa Rica should I be traveling. Where should I make currency exchange? what is the best method of going around town within terms of transportations? what's the best place to move about? Where can I go for fishing trips? Any distinctive area I should avoid going surrounded by terms of crimes? Where can I turn shopping? Also I want to see the volcanoes and the rain forest and some read aloud San Jose which be ideal but I 've looked into hotels.com, at hand seems to be more than six destinations within Costa Rica, so where should I run? Keep in mind I with the sole purpose have more or less 5 - 6 days. Any advice and suggestion would be greatly appreciated!
Answers: Fly into San Jose and spend the hours of darkness there so that you can arrest a flight to Arenal the next sunshine. That is where the volcano is..Check out the Nature Air website for flight times. Stay at la Fortuna. Stay in attendance for 2-3 days and catch a flight from Arenal to Quepos. Book a hotel within Manuel Antonio, I highly recommend the Mariposa Hotel, its nice and not as expensive as others surrounded by the area. I saw this hotel contained by Hotels.com and I so happened to ring the hotel to ask a question, and they if truth be told gave me a better rate than on queue..fyi.. Manuel Antonio has a rainforest so you can dance hiking, zip linining, river rafting (i recommend the savegre river) I suggest you book your return flight rear home in the afternoon because it take a long time to get checked within. You could either fly rear legs to San Jose, or you could take the bus final if you have a following return time. We took the 6 am bus back to san jose (6 bucks) and they dropped us bad at the airport 3 1/2 hours later... the buses arent worrisome either. taking a bus is cheap, but since you are pressed on the dot, you may not want to spend so much time on a bus. Hope this helps.
Hi, and is suitable that you are planning to go over here, is so cool! Just beware of the weather, is going to be terribly wet until the end of October, that process, sunny mornings rainy afternoons, foggy night. 5 days? Ok, look, first stay in San Jose, I recommend Heminway Inn (cozy and close to everywhere), in that you can do 1 day tours, one includes: Poas Volcano, La Paz spray and lunch at a coffee plantation. Other includes rafting and canopy plus tropical lunch within the caribbean. Those are great, because a year ago, they where not available, so you needed more days to see everything but very soon, those 1 day 3x1 tours are wonderful. Then on the fourth daylight take a taxicab (call the agency named 5 stars, they speak english and are honest) to thieve you to Multiplaza Mall in Escazu, you can shop and lunch over at hand (Broiled chicken (a) rostipollos, hmmm), and stay over during late afternoon, study a game and hold some chicken wings at Hooligans inn. There you can get a minicab back to your place, and hold a five forks dinner, cheap, with a marvelous chef at a restaurant close to the Hemingway Inn name Cafe Mundo. Last day, turn in cab to the CR Museo de Arte costarricense, check over there the sculpture garden (the place used to be the first airport), enjoy real coffee crossing the street at Soda Tapia (is resembling 50 years old place), and later take a prompt tour to the National Theater, get a coffee cake! And okay... something else if you have time? Check out costa rican typical food (a) La casona de dona Lela en Escazu! Alajuela is like mad safer than san Jose, closer to the airport and a mayor hub for many bus lines.
You can do deeply of day trips from in attendance.
Stay in a hostel and hook up near other travelers, then travel together !
Here's one contained by Alajuela : www.alajuelacampground.com
If you are into fishing you definitely want to stir to Quepos on the Pacific side of CR. Fly Sansa Air from San Jose to Quepos for only $118.00 round trip after spending a darkness or two at the Hotel Delrey downtown San Jose to check out the lovely ladies who welcome you beside a "Hello Baby! Would you like some company tonight"?
Then hit the Hotel Kamuk within Quepos for $50.00 per night which is a fantastic hotel near great rooms, food, and a great wine list!
If you own the time - go to Tamarindo Beach and stay at the Hotel Diria which is right on the coast.
Both places are right in the middle of everything you could possibly want to see or do within Costa Rica!
Good Luck!

san jose is like any other big city. that's where on earth most of the "crime" is at. but besides that just keep hold of an eye where or near who you would be. go to the arenal to ck on the volcano and the lava flooding thru little canal. at quepos for the fishing and the beach. monteverde for the cloud forest and san jose nouns not is san jose downtown for the poas volcano and the braulio carrillo rainforest park. that would take6 to 7 costa rica is small but is quite confusing or hard to digest the ride from one side to another.
