Answers: Hiya,
You will be glad to know that you are indeed right!
:-)
Lake Titicaca is the highest commercially navigable mere in the world, at 3,812 m (12,507 feet) above deep-sea level. Located contained by the Altiplano high within the Andes on the border of Peru and Bolivia, at 16°S 69°W, Titicaca has an average depth of 107 m, and a maximum depth of 281 m. The western chunk of the lake belongs to the Puno Region of Peru, and the eastern side is located contained by the Bolivian La Paz Department.
More than 25 rivers empty into Titicaca, and the tarn has 41 islands, some of which are densely populated.
Titicaca is feed by rainfall and meltwater from glaciers on the sierras that abut the Altiplano. It is drained by the Desaguadero River, which flows south through Bolivia to Lake Poopó. This accounts for less than five percent of the lake's dampen loss, however, the rest is caused by evaporation as a result of the strong wind and sunlight at this altitude
Hope this helps!
Lake Titicaca, the top navigable body of water surrounded by the world, is on the Peruvian/Bolivian border. yes, there is a lagoon titicaca. i know it sounds funny, but its true. show your sister a map and prove her wrong(not in a anticipate way)!!
You can show an atlas to your sister, or just google it for her and show her that Lake Titicaca is a true mere. It is in the deparment of Puno (Peru) and it is shared between Peru and Bolivia. It have many frequent islands inside which are beautiful. And as the first answerer said (I cannot fathom out why the thumbs down!) it is the highest tarn in the world which you can tour. This lake is suppose to be where on earth the first Inca came out (sent by the god Sun) to build the Inca Empire. yea Lake Titicacais the ultimate navigable lake surrounded by the world. It is in Peru .
