What company should I use to distribute a hulking bag from the U.S. to Ecuador?

UPS is going to charge $700, the post office won't adopt the package. Is in attendance a private company or something that would be cheaper? We live in Miami if that's any facilitate.

Answers:    A friend has sent me several packages from Miami to Lima and everytime she did it via UPS is be a nightmare as she paid expedited and it took them 3 weeks! Lots of paperwork, etc. Try DHL or Skynet (based surrounded by Miami) which in my experience have been far better. Not sure around the price, but it is way better than UPS for sure.
Can the contents be put surrounded by more than one package ?,
if so, the Post Office probably will adopt it and the
rates are a lot lower than UPS.

Much depends on Ecuadors requirements on postal
item size and bulk.
There are these small stores in spanish neighborhoods that supply calling cards and send money to Ecuador. They also convey packages it is called encomiendas. Ask them, the rates are soo much cheaper and it is trustworthy dont verbs. I tried sending perfume to Colombia last year and the post department wouldnt accept it and fedex required like $70. My aunt works for a cargo/freight company that sends stuff to colombia so I sent it next to her. It is more secure and wasnt much mroe expensive than sending it through the post organization. Maybe you can find one in Miami. Im sure they hold those casas de envio there( like Costamar).
