Has anyone traveled to Ecuador only just?
do you have any suggestions for uncomplicated (& cheap) travel? I've never personally be outside the U.S. for vacation, but my husband have. We are going there to call on my in-laws.
Answers: Been there! I've be to Quito, Cuenca and Guayaquil. You will love it! What's nice about Ecuador (and most Latin American countries) is that you hold beaches Mountains and jungle all within one country. There are amazing beaches within Ecuador. I recommend you visit Ba~nos and Otavalo while at hand, and also to jump to side countries such as Peru or Colombia if you have some time. A trip to Galapagos is worth it but it can be pretty expensive so I would fairly go to Peru or Colombia first. There is no gloomy comment I can make, food is ok, culture are friendly and you will have a nice experience. While in that, try eating yapingachos which are similar to smashed potato balls, thoughtful fried and with a pungent cheese filling. You will enjoy no prolems there as your in-laws will sort you feel welcome and will show you around and take you to nice places. Just agree to yourself be pampred and enjoy the country!
I will be traveling to Ecuador myself for the 1st time within October. I been adjectives over Central America like Panama and Costa Rica and lately love it there I only asked the same cross-examine you did just 30 secs ago There is too much to do nearby. Ecuador is a fascinating and attractive country. The exotic foods are also very interesting, make a contribution it a try! Careful with the marine, most of it is not drinkable. Most of the tourist areas and stores are very expensive, but here are markets where on earth you can go, you can also row the price down on the items. People know you are tourist so they will take the power to ask more on what they sell. Manta is wonderful for a seaside, and the areas surrounding. Quito has soo abundant mountains you can hike and savour the scenery, never bring tired of it. There is also the telegerico you can take. Wear a sticky jacket.
The weather in Quito is approaching 4 seasons surrounded by one day so be prepared for cold, interweave, sunshine and rain adjectives in soon. Galapagos is also beautiful if you close to wildlife, but for a tourist it is expensive to go in that, depends on your budget. Guayaquil is a party city, relatives are much more open and friendly. Cuenca is divine. I am sure you will have a great time! Unfortunately Ecuador is outstandingly beaurocratic and red tape bursting, so there possibly somethings you will have to be merciful with, but ENJOY! Take lots of pictures!
Yeah, I a moment ago got put money on , I was here less than a week ago approximately, we go to Peru, Ecuador, and the Galapagos Islands with Adventures Abroad Travel company. We have a great time, it was effortless but NOT cheap. Ecuador was really fun, it is hot near, but no one wear shorts, its not really socially acceptable. I would run a cruise on the Galapagos it's so much fun! but not for too long, no more than 5 days, it can get a touch repetitive.
