Costa Rica?
we've got two days to exterminate before going to Manuel Antonio. Any suggestions as to where on earth we could go? It would be nice to see the countryside... Any suggestions would assist.. thanks!
Answers: Well it depends where on earth you are. Since it's a 4 hour drive to Guanacaste, that eats up most of your two days. What I would do, assuming you are surrounded by San Jose, is go to the Irazu volcano, or do any an ATV tour or whitewater rafting. IF you search google, you can find companies that will set you up beside day trips for respectively.
In San Jose, see the Jade Museum downtown, or get yourself a nice dinnertime at the Whitehouse in Escazu and treat yourself to the best attitude in the country. They also do helicopter tours if I'm not mistaken.
Time is of the essence, but in that is plenty to do in the are if you are up for an antic.
Try The Amazing Tabacon Hot Springs Area and Arenal Volcano. Both sold as one complete tour with dinner included for around $100.00 American. You can see the Lava cascade down the sides of Arenal while you enjoy Dinner. Go to Monteverde and look for the quetzel and the hummingbird feeders. The road in that from what I've heard is reasonably an experience!plan on checking it out myself in the adjectives
You did not say where on earth you are waiting - San Jose. If so I suggest the Poaz Volcano. It is a very nice, magnificent drive from San Jose - about and hour. You stipulation to leave impulsive in the morning - 6:30am to go and get there within time before the clouds roll surrounded by. Then coming back stop at the cataratas (waterfalls) on the passageway back. There are 7 differnt ones adjectives in one hike..They also have a botanical garden, butterfly house and amphibian house to meander through. It is a great day incident. I agree that the hot springs are great and Lake Arenal is gorgeous.
I envy your trip to Manuel Antonio, we had a great time walking through the national park and saw monkeys and hear howler monkeys (sounds like something from Jurasic Park). The seaside was great in that and there's lots of vendors selling superb sarongs (nice gift view to take home).
