Overland trip: From Brasil to Peru and vice?

Hi there,
I be wondering if any of you has traveled from Brasil (Minas Gerais to be more especific) to Lima- Peru by bus. I wanna know if this is possible and if it is cheaper and how long would it clutch? Thank you :)

Answers:    No, I've done it by plane. I really dont think there's a bus company which does Peru-Brasil. You can walk from Brazil to Buenos Aires or Montevideo and then pick up a bus called Orme~no (peruvian enterprise, hugely reliable and super safe) which will take you straight to Lima. Remember that if you draw a straight file from Brazil to Peru, the Amazon jungle stands in the middle!!
There are 3 ways that I know to shift to Peru from Brasil (Because I've done them).

1. Take a bus to Cuiaba - Mato Grosso. From there bring the bus to Caceres - Mato Grosso, which is a nice town in the border beside Bolivia.
From there you can bring the bus to Santa Cruz, Cochabamba and La Paz in Bolivia (same route). Once you are contained by La Paz you can either buy a bus ticket to Lima-Peru from nearby or go to the border Puno-Peru and buy a ticket to Lima from near.
Price: No more than US$150 last time I checked
Travelling time: 3 days
Opinion: It sucked! But be cheap

2. Take a bus to Rio Branco-Acre. Take a car or bus to the border towns Assis-Brasil / I~napari-Peru. In I~naperi you transport a car (they use cars within that region because buses can't fit in those Amazonic roads) to Puerto Maldonado. From here you can choose to take a plane to Lima or to stir by ground which takes an alternative day and is almost matching price.
Time: 25-30 hours
Price: Around US$200
Opinion: It was ok. Better than via Bolivia.

3. Take a bus to Rio Branco-Brasil. Take a small plane to Yurimaguas-Peru. Take a plane to Lima.
Time: 20 hours
Price: US$250-300
Comment: It's the easiest and most comfortable route of getting to Lima. Be aware that the are NOT regular flights between Rio Branco-Yurimaguas and Yurimaguas-Lima.

Option 1 goes by the mountains. Options 2 and 3 shift by the Rain Forest.

My best choice (haven't done it yet). Pay US$400 and fly round-trip from Confins to Lima via Gol Airlines (http://www.voegol.com.br/)
Whatever you do, watch out for Santa Cruz Bolivia. There is profusely of drug trafficking going through there and some customs agents enjoy planted contraband in luggage a moment ago to extort money out of travelers.
