Is Colombia a good place to live?
south america
Answers:
Sure. But, why are you planning to move there? There can be some headaches associated with living there. As someone else mentioned, salaries are lower there. But, the cost of living is also much less expensive. Housing, for example, is much less expensive than here in the states. So is food, and clothing. The one thing that is much more expensive than the states is automobiles. As an example, a new Toyota 4Runner that would cost about $40,000 here in the states costs almost $80,000 in Colombia.
Is there anything in particular you are wondering about? If you give more detail, I can probably help answer your question.

well. i have a friend whos family lives there and they say its very expensive for the little they are being paid. But i know its a very beautifull country.
well they say grass is always greener on the other side, so as a colombian I'm aiming to leave.
sure, we've got a brilliant landscape, two oceans, plenty of interesting things to see. the place is just effed up by.well, colombians.
now, I know someone will go out and say I'm the sort of people we don't want here but coming down to terms, we're just fooling ourselves. can anyone honestly say there's less poverty? is the south and the east not fucked up by war still? aren't children still raped/murdered/mistreated by the dozen? don't we still have a 40 per 100k inhabitant murder rate? (which, funky enough, is a brilliant improvement from 66/100k last year). it's funny, all the answers you'll get are from the people who afford a pc, probably have 3 meals a day, a roof above their heads. I'm not saying i'm not one of them, I just happen to study medicine and the social service required lets you see what else is going on outside of this "bubble" (if i spoke only from the bubble I'd tell you to come livev here right away). No. bollocks. you can escape reality in Colombia and deny the duel that should be going on, move along with the rest of the indolent to the yuppie spots in bogota, have vacations in cartagena singing along to fuckin fonseca thinking everything is fuckin-A, but people not 10 blocks away will be starving to death.

yes colombia is a very nice place to live, there are all types of landscapes and climates.
you can visit the atlantic ocean (caribbean sea), and the pacific ocean. there are desserts, the amazon rain forest, three mountain chains, huge plains, and many more things. apart from that there are also big, modern cities that have the latest technologies (we are not so far behind as people may think)
violence i'm sure is on your mind. as long as you stay in cities and natural parks you wont have a problem with the farc or anything. in the cities there is the dagerous things you find in all of the big cities, like nyc.
things are cheaper here except for big imported things like cars, etc.
good luck.. and if you dint come to live here.. at least visittt!! hahahah
no, it is a good place to get kidnapped!
so forget it, really!!
