1 time surrounded by Rome what are the must see attractions contained by Rome? And what is closed on June 29 within Rome?
I'm going to Rome on Friday June 29th.I need to know what are must see attractions. And I already know that June 29 is a Holiday so I be wondering what would be closed on that day, because i.e. the only time that I can stay in Rome until that time I leave to Pisa.
Thanx
Answers: Hi at hand 29 June is the feast time of Sts Peter and Paul. Nothing is closed (or it shouldn't be) the shops and museums should be open, they be last year anyway!
The Vatican is the number one point to see. The Spanish steps, the Coliseum, great restaurants. You really need more than sooner or later. its a great city. Its like asking what to see surrounded by NYC in soon. Tough to do. Also... the airport is very far from down town. Your time is going to be constrained. Good luck You have to meander around piazza Navona, piazza di Spania (or Spanish steps), Fontana di Trevi, see the Pantheon, and then move about to the Colosseum and the Forum. (Or vice versa, since Piazza Navona and Piazza di Spania and Fontana di Tevi are great in the evening, these are adjectives close by). If you can go for lunch surrounded by Transtevere it is a nice area, call round Santa Maria in Transtevere in attendance.
In June 29th all is enlarge (restaurants, shops, museums...) My top must-sees are the Coliseum, Fountain of Trevi, Spanish Steps, and the Vatican.
But realistically, here's what you can do! The Coliseum is next to Palatine Hill (admission tickets provide you entrance to both) and the Roman Forum. All of this is worth seeing. Not too far away to the Fountain of Trevi, and the Spanish Steps and Pantheon are within flowing walking distance of it.
The Vatican is hard because it is impartially distant from everything else. You can easily bring into St. Peter's Basicila and tour on your own time, and of course see St. Peter's Square. Lines are long to bring back into the Museums (where the Sistene Chapel is). But you'll have to desire if you want to visit, because it's not walking distance to anything else. Personally, I would skip it and try to do as much as possible contained by town.
Everything should be open, no worries here. Have a great time!
