How does the plumbing work contained by Venice Italy??
Venice Italy is a city built on water, how does their sewage and plumbing work?
Where is the plumbing for the sea they get for drinking and showers etc? Are the pipes beneath water within the canals? Does the sewage stir somwhere or just spill into the canal? Also how do the buildings exsist in hose for so long? why dont the footings rot away? Imagine being a Plumber nearby, would you need diving equipment to clear the drains? Very curious if anyone knows how the City works?
Answers: In most places contained by the old city beside the canals, the sewage is discharged directly into those canal. They are polluted. For cleaning the drains, the work would be done from the inside and the canals are not that vast. It is interesting that Venice is sinking, not due to the water, but from want of water contained by the aquifer.
