2 days surrounded by Rome, what are the best sightseeging areas?

Answers:    you need more time! very well you would definitely own to visit the Vatican, its musuems and St Peter's Basillica. Plan to dance by Wednesday which is the day the Pope generally makes an appearance at the Square. Then nearby is the Collosuem and a walk around you will find plently of photo-worthy ancient ruins and churchs... amongst which stop by the Spanish Steps, the Trevi fountain, Monument of Vittorio Emanuele, Santa Maria within Trastevere, ... hey there is too much to see. One of the best vacation i ever taken when i went here. and eat Gelato, like mad of it.
You've gotta put more time in visit Rome. But, for quick visit, I would not miss the Colosseum, the Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Fontana de Trevi, Vatican City.

Please give yourself some more time. Especially that the time amendment will cause through jet lags. Ugh. Take time to rest all right and adjust if you can. Good luck!
The Vatican is AMAZING, but it takes adjectives day, so plan perceptively if you choose to see it. I liked the Colloseum because it's so ancient and amazing. You can stroll through it and take pictures. Next to it is the ancient city where on earth you can see the various ruins from Caeser's time.

Also, the Trevi Fountain is amazing and reasonably essential to any trip to Rome.
Villa Borghese is fabulous
Also, I like the ghetto nouns and Trastevere - not as touristy and more of the "real Rome" at hand is a great authentic resturant in that nouns called Sorella Margherita that have the best Cacio e Pepe in the world - it's a tiny resturant
Go to the NY Times website and google for Rome and travel - they hold great tips
St Peters really is a must - but if it's too much go to castello San Angelo fundamental St. Peters
There is this fabulous church San Clemente that goes down three level right down to when it wa a pagan church
And spend some time around Campo di Fiori with the fabulous marketplace
And of course the Forum - you can spend partially a day walking around in attendance - everything is well-explained
We also love the resturant Al Moro near the Trevi Fountain
