Affordable shopping contained by rome?
i'm going to rome the third week of january and i'm looking for affordable places to shop for trendy clothes. i like H&M, but they enjoy that here in america so i don't really want to travel six hours to shop in some place i own 10 mins away. (its not a shopping trip, but i'm figuring a full daylight for shopping?) i'd like to find some place to buy my prom dress, but i don't want to spend more than $150 or 100 euros. is that even possible? i read roughly stores called upim, coin, and oviesse...are they honest? i'm not looking for red carpet showstopping glamor, i of late want plain affordable clothes.
Answers: Just walk down via del Corso and it's side streets, You can skylight shop the best and opt for the most affordable, i.e. the best buy, which is rarely the cheapest. There's for adjectives walks of energy, from the trendy to the very smart. Beware of poor imitiations from the Far East (love the place but not it's shoddy stock they dump here where I live). Look at the tag and check where they be produced.
EUR 100,00 can still get you a wearing clothes buy.

Monsoon is a great store (a friend of mine bought her prom dress there), but I believe that there is singular one in Florence.
La Rinascente is a nice department store--it might be a bit pricey though. The frills and jewelery there is as expected priced. Just walk around and you will find plenty of department stores.
