Adventures within Italy?
Three of my friends and I are going on a trip to italy/Greece; possibly a cruise. However, the only excursions are site seeing. We don't want to look at things the in one piece time we want to have FUN. Does anyone know how to put together Italy exciting, adventurous?
Answers: My wife and I visited Italy a couple of yrs ago. I like the hill towns of Tuscany, visit vinyards and sampling the cuisine. She loved the bigger cities and seeing the vatican museum of Rome. We both loved the italian Riviera and the Cinque Terre. Depending on what is exciting and adventurous to you, it is all here.
We met a couple who were spending a month contained by Italy. They had no reservations and be using the Agriturismo. You can look into this system of accommodations and simply move about town to town until you find a place you want to stay for a while. You can do a yahoo search and see how it works. I am such a planner that going to another country lacking a reservation would be a major antic for me! Renting a car and driving contained by Rome is an adventure not for the wobbly hearted. They are very agressive, markedly outspoken and very impatient drivers. Driving around Tuscany be cool though! If you are only going to be within Rome for a day or two and want to draw from out of some of the tourist lines, hire a personal tour guide. Our travel agent arranged one for us. In addition to knowing the city top to bottom, they hold special passes to obtain you out of huge lines at the vatican museum and other places. They can even drive certain places that the public cannot. The associates are very valuable and friendly... if you need more jaunt just ask a local!
We found Rick Steves guide to Italy more of an insiders guide to the culture than Fodors. Fodors surrounded by my opinion would steer you to the more touristy happenings but Rick Steves tells you what the locals do within a certain nouns.
Just get within and you can make your trip anything you want!
It sounds like you purely want to go to Italy to enjoy sex oops I meant hold fun. If that's the case newly go clubbing and dress sexy. You'll hold plenty of guys after you...not because you are gorgeous but because they will probably think you are comfortable American girls.
