Things to see and do surrounded by Italy?
I will be in Italy for a week at the initiation of June and would like recommendation on things to do and places to see. Also ways of getting around to these places. I will be flying into Milan!
Answers: How far south will you go? If staying within the North, try Siena (1.5 days), Venice (1.5 days), Florence 2.5 days), and the Cinque Terra (2 days, HIGHLY recommended!) That's a good, busy week. Milan is not worth much time if you are restricted. Bergamo, nearby, have a nice old town. If you own time, come east to Ljubljana, Slovenia!
But given your time constraints, I would probably see Florence, Venice, and the Cinque Terra. You could have a really amazing week combining these.
Use b-rail.be to plan your train connections. It is the Belgian railing site, click on "choose your language" to open the English site. I would probably walk from Milano to Genoa, (Genova) which is very close to Cinque Terra, afterwards to Florence (Firenze), then to Venice, in the past heading back to Milano to fly home... This itinerary make the most logistical sense.
The towns in the Cinque Terra are Vernazza, Monterosso, Rio Maggiore, Corniglia, and Manarolo. In my judgment, Cinque Terra is one of the top most beautiful places surrounded by Europe.
The train and/or bus is usually the best way to travel inside Italy. I just get back from a leave in Florence. While I be there I also took the train to Pisa to see the tendency tower and to Venice to visit. Gasoline is much more expensive surrounded by Italy than in this country so driving is costly. Italian drivers are extraordinarily aggressive as well so you hold to watch out. Hi!I'm italian and I hope give a hand you. Milan is a big city and you can visit profusely of things!first of all, you MUST see the Duomo and Corso Vittorio Emanuele (it is fundamental to Duomo)! Then, you can visit Cenacolo contained by Santa Maria delle GRazie and the Sforzesco Castle . Into Castello sforzesco, there is a great museum and it is cheap. and finally, you can call in Pinacoteca di BRera. Brera is a expensive area...so preserve attention to buy anythings!that's all!Bye
hello, i can suggest you to spend some days contained by Tuscany, visiting the most beutiful art cities such as pisa, florence, lucca, volterra, siena... you can stay surrounded by a farm house within the countryside in a medium location, from which you'll reach the several places, and also the traditional and typical medieval village, maybe do a cooking class, or a a wine taste! i suggest you to have a look at www.ariannandfriends.com. soak up your stay It is very heat up in Italy contained by June, so rather afterwards hoping from one place to the other, I would chose 2 places you want to visit so you can spend some time in attendance, and really get to see the sites, and get hold of a feel for the place.
Like the others enjoy said, Milan itself is not so special. You could get the train up to Lake Como, or Lake Maggiore which is lovely and consequently spend a few nights nearby. After as someone below suggested you should go to the Cinque Terra for a while. So totally beautiful here, and a lot to see too.
The Italian means of access of life is not to rush - so bring some of our advice and slow down the tread a little!
